A depository can be compared to a bank. A depository holds securities( like shares, debentures, bonds, govt securities,units etc.) of investor in electronic form. Besides holding securities, a depository also provides services related to transactions in securities.

Benefits : The benefit of participation in a depository are:

  • Immediate transfer of securities
  • No stamp duty on transfer of securities.
  • Elimation of risks associated with physical certificates such as bad delivery, fake certificates etc,
  • Nomination facility etc.

Elite Wealth provide following services:

A. Account Opening : At the time of opening an account you have to sign a agreement with DP (Elite Wealth Management Ltd ) in the prescribed standard agreement, which details your and our rights and duties. Investors have to submit following proof of identity and proof of address along with the prescribed account opening form.

  1. Proof of identity : As proof of indentity you can submit a copy of Passport, Voter ID Card, Driving License, PAN Card.or your signature and photograph must be authenticated by an existing demat account holder or by your bank.
  2. Proof of Address : You can submit a copy of Passport, Voters ID Card, Driving License,Ration Card, Bank Passbook as proof of address.
  3. Two Passport Size Photograph.
  4. Copy of PAN card details.

B. Dematerialisation : Dematerialisation is the process by which physical certificates of an investors are converted to an equivalent number of securities in electronic form and credited in the investor`s account.

In order to dematerialise certificates, an investor will have to first open an account with us and then request for the dematerialisation of certificates by filling up a dematerialisation request form(DRF), which is available with us and submitting the same along with the physical certificates.The investor has to ensure that before the certificates are handed over to us for demat, they are defaced by marking "Surrendered for Dematerialisation" on the face of the certificates.

C. Rematerialisation : If you wish to get back your securities in physical form. "Rematerialisation" is the term used for converting electronic holdings back into physical certificate.

D. Settlement : Procedure for selling and buying securities is given here below :-


  1. you sell securities in any of the stock exchanges linked to NSDL through a broker.
  2. you give instruction (DIS) to DP to debit your account and credit the broker`s account
  3. you receive payment from the broker for the sale of securities.


  1. You purchase securities through a broker.
  2. Your broker receives credit of securities in its clearing account on the pay-out day.
  3. Your broker gives instructions to DP to credit your account.

F. Pledging: Loan against Shares Both Pledgor as well as Pledgee must have depository account.

G. Inter-Depository Transfer: You can transfer securities from NSDL depository to CDSL depository.

H. SPEED-e facility: SPEED-e is a facility that enables Demat account holders to submit delivery instructions to their Depository Participants (DPs) through internet. Instead of submitting delivery instruction slips (in paper form) to their DPs they can transfer there shares on-line through internet. The users of SPEED-e can also check latest balances and transactions in their demat accounts through a facility called Internet-based Demat Account Statement (IDEAS) and monitor the status of execution of instructions.
